New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is planning to felicitate Virender Sehwag, who recently announced his retirement from international cricket last week, during the upcoming four-match Test series against South Africa. India will aim to bounce back when they will take on South Africa in the first Test in Mohali on November 5 after loosing T20 and ODI series against south africans. According to reports, this great batsman will be honoured on the final day of the fourth Test at his home ground Feroz Shah Kotla in New Delhi.
In a glorious international career spanning over 12 years, Sehwag has played 104 tests and scored a staggering 8,586 runs at an average of 49.34 and has amassed 8,273 runs at an average of 35.05 in 251 ODIs.
Meanwhile, Sehwag has confirmed his participation in next month’s inaugural Cricket All-Stars series, co-promoted by Sachin Tendulkar and Shane Warne, in the United States. Earlier on Sunday.
